Pros

Cool hip and young company. Good place to start a career and develop new contacts.

Cons

Very, very disorganized. If you are mid level or senior the presure level is through the roof. Highly recommend working out of the corporate HQ in Barcelona. Otherwise you won't last very long.

Pros

The discount-- 50% off full price(up to $1,000 a yr)

Cons

-Lack of Quality of Life(50+ hours a week with no compensation, no relief, Not permitted to take weekends off unless using vacation days, Seldom able to take real/full lunch breaks) -Lack of Communication(Failure to respond to emails/correspondence,Area Manager for past year DOES NOT speak a lick of english. They sent help from Spain and none of them speak english) -Lack of planning and organization(For instance, will schedule based on Area Manager's arrival to States, but AM will fail to notify that she will not be returning til later. When she finally arrives, she expects you to CANCEL your days off(and your plans) so she can see you. When she comes to see you, she makes you work a 10.5 hour shift while you wait to see her. She takes a 2.5 hour lunch break and returns only on her convenience. She doesn't speak english ) -Lack of Growth(Empty promises aka lies) -Salary(Promised a raise after 3 months of increasing figures as new SM BUT never received a raise. Sales staff received positive performance appraisals and didn't receive their raises.) -Lack of benefits(No 401k, No holiday pay, No time & a half on holidays) -Vacation(Offered 3 weeks vacation a year, BUT they make it nearly impossible for you to take it--many black out periods that aren't even mentioned. And they will not pay you out either)

Pros

Strong control over projects, great coworkers, relaxed and fun work environment. "La Vida es Chula" is very strongly emphasized in the workplace.

Cons

No structure and poorly planned operations. Desigual wants to do everything as a free-for-all and does not have a strong business mentality in the United States. The company has faired poorly here and resolves this with layoffs, which then results in other employees being over-loaded with too much work. They want to operate solely out of Barcelona, but cannot put enough care into the projects that they want to grow in the US. The pay is also low for the expectations placed on the employees. As someone who put a huge amount of personal investment into her job, please take my advice and choose a company with better structure and more security.
