Very sick patients & inadequate staffing. Most aides here are lazy and either disappear or are just completely insubordinate. The doctors do whatever they want. Some write orders in the chart others in the computer as they should. Security needs better training. It’s a regular occurrence for them to assault patients. Most units are short staffed. The ratio is 6:1 for Nurses on the med surg floors which is very unsafe due to acuity & lack of help (aides, unit clerks etc). Inadequate support for new grad nurses. The staff nurses are rude and will try to throw you under the bus if you’re an agency or float pool nurse. Lots of cliques. Oh & the place is infested with roaches. They greet you at the door. Certain managers are extremely rude and act like we are not people too.

Pay rate, increment, will not get a pay raise
