American Equity (AEL) interview questions

Interview with hiring manager was terrific. The follow-up interview was bizarre and unprofessional. One of the interviewers was 5-10 minutes late, then left early for another call. He asked the same trivial question several times, including interrupting his colleagues to ask again.

From start to finish, the interview process was seamless and well-organized. I spoke with the recruiter, direct manager, and second-level manager, and also had a valuable meet-and-greet with a team member who shared insights into daily responsibilities, workflow, and areas for improvement. The recruitment team was exceptional—professional, responsive, and supportive throughout. Every step was clearly communicated, and I always felt informed and prepared. Their availability and willingness to answer questions made the experience smooth and welcoming. It was a truly positive and engaging process that reflected the organization’s commitment to transparency and collaboration.
