Schroders run a completely unprofessional recruitment process. Last year I had several interviews for a equity analyst position. I had multiple rounds with Schroders requesting two cases studies that involved over 3 weeks of work and involved me producing a 30 slide presentation and fully built model for them. Right at the end of this process, at the end of the final interview, I was then told the role was on hold while they allowed a internal candidate to join the process. Post that meeting I was ghosted. Not only zero-follow up from them, but HR ignored a number of emails asking for any updates. 3 months later I've learned they went with the internal candidate. I have no communication from them, no acknowledgement and no feedback.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Asked for a complete case study on a stock, including fully built model. Then required to pitch to PMs for 90 mins.

Interview
Serious changes need to be made at Schroders as this was the second time in 3 years have had several interviews at the company only to be ghosted.
The whole interview process on this occasion left much to be desired. My experience was marked by poor communication and a lack of professionalism.
An internal recruiter initially scheduled a call with me, only to cancel at the last minute without explanation. The following week, I had an interview that seemed to go well, raising my hopes. However, Schroder then proceeded to ghost me completely.
Despite my follow-up emails seeking any form of feedback or update, I received no response whatsoever. This lack of courtesy and respect for candidates' time is unacceptable for a company of Schroder's stature.
Overall, the process was disorganised and reflected poorly on the company's values. Potential applicants should be aware that they may face similar treatment and lack of communication.

Interview
Did my application and then test and they then sent me the online interview to do. It was very strange sensation having only 2 min to answer each question and then being cut off from saying anymore and moving on to the next question. Overall questions were quite easy and straightforward and are what you can expect from a Investment management. although it is very relaxed to do since there is plenty of time between each question as it gets uploaded
