HR initially discussed my experience and salary & arranged the interview for the lead engineer position. The 1st round of interview went very well. After the 1st round HR told that the feedback is very positive but they couldn’t offer me the lead engineer role just because they need at least 8 YOE & I have only 6. She suggested me to apply for senior engineer role & also said that there isn’t much difference in salary range. I accepted the conditions & then she scheduled my 2nd round which was a 3 hour machine coding round. I solved the complete task & answered all the questions that were asked. This round went even better than the 1st one. After that there was no communication for next 15 days. HR ghosted & stopped responding to my calls. After multiple attempts she finally picks the calls & tells me a number which is 65% of my current salary. I’m very frustrated by the time wasted & lack of professionalism of the HRs. Absolutely pathetic experience.
