About the Work:
We do all straight transcription, so we are seeking those with experience in straight transcription. This is your chance to do straight transcription, which almost every applicant tells us they prefer over editing or AI/Dax. In fact, if all you have ever done is AI/Dax, you will likely have a difficult time being successful here. We also have some very interesting and unique accounts, including work done by no other MT company in the U.S. We aim to keep our transcriptionists happy, so we do not “over-hire,” as some companies do, so that everyone scrambles for work. That way we can keep our transcriptionists busy without having to check back repeatedly in order to get a full line count.

These are fully remote, work-from-home independent contractor positions. We work primarily on the Emdat/escription-one platform. We will teach you if you do not have experience with this platform. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will ensure that our clients’ medical records are accurate and comprehensive, supporting our clients in delivering the best patient care. Our transcriptionists pride themselves on being the best!

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently transcribe medical reports dictated by healthcare professionals.
• Adhere to client specifications, AHDI Book of Style, and medical transcription best practices, including proper grammar and punctuation.
• Conduct appropriate research as needed to ensure accuracy of reports.
• Review completed transcriptions to ensure they are grammatically correct, error-free, and in compliance with standards.
• Ensure transcriptions are completed within the designated turnaround time, which is as low as 2 hours.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all legal requirements, including HIPAA.

Qualifications:

• Must live and work in the United States. You will not be considered if you are outside the U.S.
• Minimum of 3 years of full-time proven experience as a medical transcriptionist, hopefully at least some of which was straight transcription.
• Please save everyone’s time and do not apply if you do not have at least 3 years of full-time medical transcription experience. Work as nurse, medical assistant, biller, clinic manager, etc., does not equate to medical transcription experience.
• Strong command of medical terminology and healthcare documentation standards.
• Excellent hearing/listening skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and remember comprehensive specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing error-free documentation.
• Previous experience with transcription software (even if not Emdat/escription-one) is very helpful.
• Reliability, accountability, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Availability:

We are currently hiring for evening and graveyard hours only. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU ARE NOT AVAILABLE UNTIL AT LEAST 10 P.M. PACIFIC TIME. We have no openings for mornings/days. One full weekend day weekly is required, but working both weekend days is also an option if you prefer. Let us emphasize that those with the broadest availability will be the most attractive to Versio!
