Location: Remote

The Software Tester must be able to create high quality, maintainable performing code for white box and black box automated test cases and the frameworks to execute and report them. The Test Engineer's knowledge of software design is focused on testability, robustness, and performance, and they should play a contributory or reviewer role in the creation of designs for production software. They need to have good experience in software processes and how to test software along with exceptionally strong programming skills.

Requirements

o Must be a US Citizen

o Must be willing to obtain a security clearance

o BS degree in Computer Science

o Core development experience (3+ years) as Software Engineer/SDET

o Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and data structures

o Strong analytical and problem solving skills

o Demonstrable experience in writing clean code quickly in languages like C#, Java, Python, Ruby etc.

o Understanding of QA methodologies, life cycle and processes

o Experience in writing test frameworks and automation tools is preferable

Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) testing tools (Cucumber Framework, Capybara, or similar)

o Experience with automated browser testing scripts (Selenium, Test Cafe, or similar)

o Experience with unit testing tools (PyTest, Nunit, Junit, or similar)

o Experience with Test Driven Development a plus

o REST APIs and SOAP web services with JSON and XML payloads

o Build systems such as TeamCity, Jenkins, Maven, Ant

o Full stack web development expertise (Javascript, CSS/Less, Sphinx, Redis, Rspec)

Responsibilities

o Establish quality engineering, automation testing, and continuous integration practices with an emphasis on back-end APIs and systems integration

o Own the quality of complete module and ensure 100% regression automation along with development.

o Design robust automation test scripts at both Unit and integration level.

o Conduct code reviews to manage automation code quality

o Work closely with product and development teams to clarify requirements and provide feedback on functional and technical design

o Participate in sprint planning meetings and daily stand ups to stay on top of things and report progress

o Troubleshoot, diagnose and identify failing systems through the use of instrumentation and software

o Strong expertise in leveraging a wide variety of open source technologies

o Work with cross functional team to ship high quality releases

o Be a vocal champion for quality in every phase of the development process and software

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
