Not the best place to work
Pros
Nice people and good socials - i'd enjoyed the deadline socials
Cons
My experience at Blick Rothenberg used to be very positive. For many years, I had clear goals and a strong sense of career progression. The culture was supportive, upbeat, and full of motivated people. However, things changed significantly following a restructuring of the Business Support function. The removal of the traditional 1:1 PA support for Partners—replaced by a centralised model where only Heads of Department retain dedicated support—has had a major impact. The PA role has effectively been diluted into a general business admin function, with some roles moved offshore, which has affected both efficiency and team morale. Since these changes, there has been a noticeable increase in staff turnover across all levels. Many experienced and valued colleagues have left, and the overall atmosphere has shifted. Unfortunately, the culture no longer feels as positive or engaging as it once was. There is also an increased focus on administrative processes such as detailed timesheet tracking—even for non-chargeable roles—which feels excessive and adds little value. For example, being required to log every activity throughout the day into numerous entries creates unnecessary administrative burden. Overall, while the firm once offered a fantastic working environment, the recent changes have significantly impacted employee experience. I believe the leadership team would benefit from taking a more modern and people-focused approach to rebuild the culture and retain talent.
