Pros
The pay was okay but not worth what I experienced.
Cons
My experience working on a contract with Ameren was extremely disappointing. The biggest issue was the complete lack of communication and professionalism from management. I was let go without any prior conversation, feedback, or warning. There was no discussion about performance, no opportunity to improve, and no basic respect shown in how the situation was handled. Being dismissed without even a conversation reflects very poorly on leadership and company culture.
The environment felt highly unorganized, with unclear expectations and inconsistent communication across teams. It often seemed like there was no structure or accountability from management, which made it difficult to succeed in the role.
If you’re considering working here, especially in a contract position, I would strongly encourage you to think twice. Job security and transparency are not prioritized, and employees are not treated with the level of respect they deserve.
