Pros

Lots of events to help build connections between teammates. Typical superficial perks (ping pong, beer, casual dress, some free meals, etc). Ability to move around within the company. Open door policy. Openness and honesty among team members (does not include management)

Cons

Very poor communication - Lots of business talk and vague answers to keep you guessing instead of direct answers Benefits are abysmal - No work from home, bare minimum PTO + Holidays, No sick leave, expensive health care, paternity leave only after 1 year Extremely slow to change - I've never seen a software company of this size move so slow. Even some customers are starting to complain about the outdated look/feel/tech Zero passion - If you thrive in a place where everyone has a side hustle and is striving for constant learning avoid BT Deceitful - If you've seen the "best place to work" thing... don't buy into that. Our marketing team went to everyone in person and told them we would have a week long party if and only if we left enough positive feedback in the surveys to force a win... The title is not actually a good thing and should reflect very negatively.

Pros

Great customers who care about the product Mostly flexible Some smart designers

Cons

So many... Leadership is just a bunch of friends watching one another's back. They're all micro-managers who give you no autonomy or trust. The design org is an absolute mess. No accountability and no growth leadership. Did a reorg only to manage many of the leads out of the company, Constantly doing quiet layoffs. They've let go of several designers over the last 6 months or so under the guise of poor performance. Some of the design managers have no idea what they're doing and are so prescriptive and give you no real feedback. You voice your concerns and you are reprimanded for it because they are all friends. It's lose lose. The design system is an absolute mess and they refuse to invest in fixing it. You'd think a company in the construction industry would understand the value of the foundation.
