Cons
While the site offers complimentary meals, the quality is often disappointing. The management style is heavily metric driven, requiring constant precision and attention to key performance indicators. Physically, the role is grueling and comparable to warehouse work expect to spend over six hours a day on your feet, walking large facilities, and performing heavy lifting. Despite being under the technical umbrella, this is manual labor involving server maintenance and fiber cabling rather than software development or automation engineering. Internal mobility is restricted primarily to the Data Center track exmaple, Data Center Technician, Implementation Engineer, or Program Manager. Transitioning into these roles is exceptionally difficult, typically requiring L3/L4 status, a relevant degree, and several years of specialized experience and working in your current role 3-4 years minimum. There are exceptions but very rare and again they had all those qualities listed above. These internal paths are also highly competitive due to the limited number of openings.
