Pros

With the right mentor, opportunities to grow.

Cons

This is a very large company operating like it’s a small business. Very few resources given, and rapidly growing at a rate and expectation level it cannot maintain. To grow you need to take on a lot of stretch projects, which you must create time for without compensation. Myself and many employees spent their days off doing these stretch projects to hit milestones to help in their career growth that leadership told us would get us “exposure”. Many things in this company are expected of its employees with the payoff of “exposure.” They are not transparent on how long of a runway it is to a home office role, and often dangle roles that do not exist in front of people to keep them inside the company. Instead of giving valid feedback, this company hides behind buzzwords. In my feedback conversations, there were very few instances pointing to specific performance or providing real examples. They were instead focused on abstract ideas like “skill or will.” The company will use these terms to push you out when you no longer fit their brand archetype. The CEO and COO for example, are no longer with the company.

Pros

Pay and commission are great. Discounts are generous. Schedule can be great for those who don't care to work every Saturday. Great high-paced workflow.

Cons

Lack of awareness for the work put in by Store Managers from those higher up making decisions. Hours for stores are allotted to absolute bare minimum, not what is best for store coverage. Take advantage of store managers putting in 10-20 extra hours. Very very little training making it incredibly difficult to understand the full scope of responsibilities. The only reason I survived was due to Assistant Managers who had been there for years before me. Very last minute changes from upper management creating scheduling conflicts. High School mean girl energy from upper management and various departments who work directly with store management. Very isolating in an already very challenging position.
