Good communication with the support team

Very low rates - some as low as the rates from 8-10 years ago

Don't believe all those seemingly positive reviews. They are written by their own staff who earns peanuts as well. The most unprofessional place I have ever worked for. The employ unqualified lorry drivers and cleaners to go to work in our hospitals! People without any experience who pose as professionals for mere £16 all inclusive. They send you off to a place 20miles away and don't pay mileage or parking charge? An hour of parking at my local hospital is £3.20 add petrol and travel time and it's obvious you earn £3 per hour. One would have to do 40 hrs of interpreting a week to survive. The latter is impossible because:1.there aren't that many assignments even for the languages which are in high demand,2. Unless you work 12-14 hours a day, you can't physically do 8 hrs of interpreting (travel time, waiting times, lunch break etc). Pearl sends out wrong language interpreters as well. Slovak doesn't equal check, Algerian isn't just general Arabic, Punjabi isn't Urdu! They are playing with people's lives but what did one expect when an undercutting agency charges service provider (NHS) only £22 per hour? Pearl never pays you a correct amount. They keep asking for timesheets that one has already submitted 4 or more times. They have people without current DBS taking on assignments. They don't check one's ID (just a scan). You can be anybody, a sentenced pedophile or an illegal migrant and still work for Pearl.

Good for those without experience and qualifications who are selfish and irresponsible enough to play with vulnerable people's lives.
