Pros

I worked at Raytheon for over 4 years and had a great experience. The company provided many learning and growth opportunities. I was promoted twice during my tenure with the company, and my responsibility increased significantly. I felt like my management supported me and provided me with the career mentorship that I was seeking. I felt empowered and respected during my time there.

Cons

It can be difficult to work at such a large defense contractor company because of all the process and red tape. Things can move slowly, you have to be patient and pick your battles. That being said, if you learn how to work within the system, you can make a significant impact here!

Pros

Great team collaboration and highly skilled engineers across multiple disciplines. Good job stability and structured processes help reduce chaos. Benefits and work-life balance are generally solid.

Cons

Legacy systems and processes can make development feel outdated at times. Career growth can feel slow depending on organization and program. Compensation may not always be competitive with private tech sector.

Pros

- Willing to teach you from scratch as long as you have security+ certification and a related college degree. - You will learn alot and create a strong foundation for cyber.

Cons

- since it is a contract position and you may or may not get hired. - you must be willing to constantly work on getting certifications and/or prove that you are constantly learning. - if you go in as a contractor, you will have terrible benefits and pay compared to your colleagues who are hired. 2 week pto, terrible holidays, and you have to work on all holidays. - you will be working second or third shift since first shift is for full time hires. you will literally not be able to do anything on the days you are working. However, you will have 3 days off so that is a plus. - but keep in mind this is still the best place to start you cyber career in a learning point of view and i would still work there again if i had to.
