One thing I’ve seen happen a lot is no one at an agency cares about awards until someone wins an award.
As a creative director, I care about awards because they energize my teams. Awards give them confidence. Their resumes and portfolios become stronger. Of course, they have to want to do award winning work as well. But yes, I do care. And all CDs should care, not for themselves, but for their creative team’s growth and careers.
