The interview process with American Express was somewhat challenging. While the recruiter was professional, I felt the process lacked clear communication and structure. There were delays in follow-up, and expectations for the role were not fully explained, which made it difficult to prepare effectively. Overall, the experience could have been more organized and transparent.
There are four phases in the interview process: recruiter screening, interview with the hiring manager, conversation with one of team member (culture fit), interview with the VP of the department (one level above the hiring manager). All the people I’ve met were very friendly and respectful.

After an internal referral through the director himself, I went through 2 major technical rounds. The first round consists of questions regarding the company knowledge testing, and the 2nd round consists of tools and business case studies.
