Pros

Compensation and benefits are good. The team I work with is incredibly kind, helpful, and supportive. When in the office, lunch, snacks, and drinks were supplied.

Cons

Employee safety is a massive concern for me. A colleague behaved very inappropriately to me and I did not receive appropriate assistance, support, or resolution from HR. While I was involved in the initial investigation, I was quickly left in the dark and only received an update after I had followed up. It’s extremely disappointing to feel as though voices are being silenced. The lack of accommodations brings anxiety and an unsafe feeling, which is not fair for anyone who has experienced any sort of sexual harassment in their workplace.

Thank you for sharing your concerns about workplace safety and bringing your situation to light. We are deeply grateful that G2 employees have been working together with leadership to help us learn and improve, including the reporting and investigating process of workplace safety and culture issues. We have fully investigated and resolved reported issues to the very best of our ability and have taken company-wide action to build a safer working place. These actions include updates to our reporting and investigating processes; establishing regional committees of G2 employees at each of our offices who will work closely with senior leadership on issues of safety and culture; implemented an anonymous whistleblower reporting system; additional training for all levels of the company; developed a company-wide values statement to codify our commitment to workplace safety for all; and established metrics to measure our success against these values. Moving forward, every workplace issue will be taken seriously, without exception. Every workplace issue will be investigated, without exception. Everyone at G2 will know how to voice a concern, will feel safe doing so, and will know how that concern has been addressed. We recognize we still have a lot of work to do to win all of your trust and to ensure 100% of you feel totally safe in your work environment. The first steps in doing so are to hold ourselves accountable with measurable commitments and tangible actions outlined here: https://culture.g2.com/commitments. It is our responsponsibility to do better by you and for your teammates. Thank you again for sharing your experience and feedback.

Pros

Great teammates and culture. Atmosphere is friendly and supporting. Management and Leadership encourages learning mindsets, especially in the world of AI. Encourage trying new things, taking risks, etc.

Cons

Things move fast, sometimes very fast, occasionally without clear vision/purpose

Pros

- Flexibility: fully remote and hybrid options available, generous PTO, ability to own your own schedule (with discretion) - Relatively low stress environment: more collaborative than competitive - Decent name recognition and connections

Cons

- The product: G2 is and has always been a "nice to have," which has led to an increase in churn in recent years due to lack of perceived value. Instead of focusing to try and make the product better, leadership has fired everyone in Product leadership and has adopted a new practice of "throwing stuff at the wall and seeing what sticks." Features are often released with no prior notice given to customer facing teams and "designed" by engineers who have no idea how to make anything actually usable. There are no designated channels to provide feedback and very little alignment with product marketing. It is very difficult to get a customer to adopt a new feature that we don't even know how to position internally. - RIFs galore: Multiple times a year there are small to medium reductions in force that feel simultaneously inevitable and like they come out of nowhere. High performers get let go for seemingly no reason. - Lack of upward mobility: G2 rolled out paybands in the last few years reportedly to address concerns surrounding lack of salary transparency, but in reality this has made achieving promotions very difficult. There are also no formalized promotion plans in place (at least in the RevOrg).
