Pros

- Well-established software company with a very large customer base. - Great benefits. - Good CEO, CFO/COO, and CISO. - There are a lot of good, intelligent, hard-working people at this company. - Overall, a decent place to work.

Cons

All cons of working at Pega depend on the reporting organization you report to. - Culture can be toxic in both the US and India, depending on the reporting organization. - Depending on your reporting organization, metadata associated with anonymous employee voice surveys is scrutinized to identify individuals and take action. - Depending on your reporting organization, staff in India may be treated poorly and pressured to work excessive hours, even during holidays/festivals. - Depending on your reporting organization, employee reviews can be heavily influenced by personal bias and lack objectivity. - Depending on your reporting organization, leadership may have noticeable deficiencies or an inappropriate level of subject-matter expertise. - Working at the company feels like you have taken a step back 10-20 years in time. - Due to the lack of use of common modern off-the-shelf agile project management, productivity, and ticketing tools, productivity is hampered (and at times prohibitive) by internally developed, stovepiped solutions that are buggy, slow, and 10-20 years behind their off-the-shelf counterparts. If you speak out against the use of the homegrown tools, they will give you a "drink the Kool-Aid" answer. If you persist with your criticism, your career opportunities will be limited.
